This Week At The Muse

We are really getting to know each other at the Muse .

Even with of sniffles and coughs and upset stomach aches... 

Our little Cirque De La Looney Orchestra Training with Kindermusik has really paid off.

This Coming Saturday we will celebrate our first of 

Sensational Saturdays the Last Saturday Of the Month

Feb 25th at the Muse

Doumbek Drumming 

 Children and Young Adults. 

Ages 8 to 18 (RSVP CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED)

 Begins at 10 AM - 11 AM

This workshop is open to children of Willits for $10 each.

Jeff Crawford received the GASP Grant to Teach this program in our schools.

Didgeridoo With Dr. Krystov Bock

Dr. Bock is our new chiropractor in our Living Arts Complex here at the Muse.

He works on Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11 to 6 PM for Walkins and will come into the office for an appointment any day of the week if you give him a call.  707 671 - 3870

He gives treatments to Veterans of War for Free and his rates are so reasonable

Musically speaking...

Dr. Boch has played with many artists such as Stephen Kent as well as performed at many summer music events .

His chiropractic care is the VERY BEST I have ever had

 and his work with the Didg is even better.

We are honored to have him in our community.

Contra Dancing , Singing in the Round and Acting will be part of this one hour show.

Bears All Night Party was developed by Daura Diboun and family for their children's theater community in Upper State New York .

Probably not this great looking club house, but we are getting a new look

The Muse will be getting some new features like curtains for our mirrors and soon cubbies for shoes and coats as well as a roof for our outdoor porch. 

The Muse is looking for a new rug as well for our Muse floor. 

Being Born Deaf

They say that children who sign learn to communicate fully by the age of 9 months have far more advanced cognitive skills  then non signing children. 

The Sign And Sing Class will meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 to Noon.

Ages 3 months to age 3 Years. 

Signing is not just for the hearing impaired. It is a wonderful way to communicate with your young child and for their siblings to learn to communicate with their younger sister or brother.

This class teaches the ASL method through singing.. I Love it.

There are lots of toys, singing and playing in this class.
REAL LIFE SIGNS FOR REAL LIFE SKILLS

I taught my sons when they were young and it was a secret language for them to play with. 

While we were living at the Plainai Village in Oregon one summer their was a Native Sweat.

One of the kids that was there showed up signing. She was deaf.

My 3 of my boys came over and said Hey she is signing... I told them go sign to her.

She was so happy to have someone there to play with who signed.

At the ages of 4 5 and 6 they played all day by the tipis and had a blast.

This is one of my many favorite memories of raising my sons...

Contra Dances and Family Singing in the Round

Village Class is a bonding class for newborns through the age of 18 months .

Dancing singing massage and story telling.. Fun play time activities. 

  

The Cirque De La Looney Orchestra will be having these Contra Dances Every 8 weeks or so so keep your eyes and ears open.. they are so much fun

The Willits Young Actors

Some of your young actors have raised over 30 dollars of their own money to put towards the Grange Stage. We are collecting for the Stage repair and enhancement for our new theater home. 

The Willits Young Actors Salons are working with mask making and myth writing as well as script writing and Radio play work.

Children's Concerts, Parties and Workshops

Mana From the Muse Invites you to come do a workshop or have a birthday party at the Muse .

The Rates are about $15 an hour and we are very happy to offer locals and WYAT alumni a reduced rate. The Muse is for our children to have a place to be the star they really are ....

We prorate all our classes and offer most programs for $10 a class.

Parents are encouraged to participate but not required.

PS in April the Tiny Tiger Karate Dojo of Ukiah will be teaching for ages 4 and up.

The classes will be divided up for age groups and we hope to see you there.

This 25 year old dojo is amazing and teaches from a lifeskill perspective.
