Barefoot and feeling the world around you.

Barefoot is best for baby. Baby learns through her senses, especially on the bottoms of the feet!
The sensory input from the bottoms of the feet sends information directly to the brain about the texture, temperature and the contour of the surface. When barefoot , the baby doesn't need to use her eyes to look at the surface under her feet creating an unnatural posture. but rather can sense where the floor is and make adjustments with appropriate posture. Their bare feet give them the proprioceptive sensory feedback that allows them to learn balance and a stable base of support.
Honestly this is true for all of us .  Wiggle those toes folks... Wiggle Wiggle

Keep those tiny toes open and feeling the earth below them.

Kindermusik

I know there are a million and one things to do with our kids. It is wonderful how lucky we are these days.
But how many of these things are fun and educational?
Kindermusik offers foundations of learning as well as everyday hints,  for parents to take home and implement into their daily lives.
You meet other parents with children who are in most cases looking for more fun and association just like you.
Kindermusik is not just about music it's about community.
Singing and dancing, puppet time, games and story time. mixed with musical instrument play all centered around your child's age appropriate needs.
One parent told me that the take home cd changed her commute from the store to home from a crying game to a sing game.  And another parent coaxed her child into bathing with putting on the cd and singing while they took their bath... Sounds fun to me :)

In December I will be running a sale on gift certificates for folks who want to purchase classes as gifts for the children they love. Kindermusik is a great present for a child. You can also donate to our scholarship fund that we are hosting for children who can not afford a music program like Kindermusik.
The first session is Village for newborns to 18 month olds
I will be Offering ABC Music and me in all three great modules for three different age groups.
Age 2
Age 3 and 4
Age 4-6
All classes are about 45 mins long and include
Storytime
Dancing
Singing
Make believe
Musical exploration of sounds voices and instruments.
The Home packets are golden ! You bring home the fun for your child to use over and over again in the car or at home or at grandmas where ever .
Kids just do not get tired of Kindermusik
I know I don't!
Hope to see you all in class soon.
Demos start in about a week
See you soon

Kindermusik

Kindermusik begins at the Muse in January.
I have been studying hard and having a blast with this program friends.

The program is for all ages up to age 7 years and it is a great educational music program.
Unlike many music programs for pre and elementary school ages children, this program has an age specific intent that provides hours of individualized lessons for Newborns up to Age 7.

I appreciate that these classes are divided up to the different age levels and it also offers a Family Time program for all ages to enjoy the Kindermusik experience .

The bonding and networking that goes on when one joins the Kindermusik family is also a real perk!
You can travel anyway and you will find the same lessons happening in every town in the U.S. and , in most sites, the instructors offer traveling Kindermusik students with open arms.
This means that when , lets say, Suzie is traveling to visit Grandma on the East Coast , she can still go to a Kindermusik class in the near by town.
It really is that wide spread and welcoming. Also If you let your Kindermusik teacher know your traveling she can contact the nearest center and let them know when your coming!
I really love this.

Another great thing is the HOME MATERIALS.
As a cellist since the age of 7 , I can honestly say that you really can not benefit from music unless you experience it.. Use it... enjoy it. These Take Home Materials are no more then what a parent would spend on instrument rental and materials such as books rosin, and so on. You actually spend less and experience more.
I have students who wake up and ask their parents... Is it a Kindermusik Day?
Singing together is such a loving exchange and a bonding experience.

I am welcoming my students from my theater program for Tiny Tots and Cirque De La Looney Orchestra to participate in this program .

The Upper divisions begin with keyboard and string and wind instruments and the primary students work with beautiful rhythm instruments and play games that teach concepts of theory and vocal development.
It is really the most well rounded music education program I have round in my 43 years of playing music.
I have found fun Music programs , but none that surpass the excellence of Kindermusik.

This program is more then 30 years old in the US and developed in Germany .
It is used by many charter and private schools as their sole music curriculum .

I look forward to spending a long adventure of music dance culture and art in Kindermusik with you.

See you at the Muse!

Hugs,
Miss Mana
